We were kindly invited by Moduelo to the FX International Interior Design Awards last week! It was our first time attending and we highly rate it!
The dress code was black-tie – so for us that meant bling bling! It was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane. The exterior of the building felt extremely Christmassy with the large trees standing proud outside the entrance leading you in. The interior lobby was also covered in Christmas glitz and glamour, almost like you’d stepped into a typical London Christmas film!
The room was filled with over a hundred round tables with everyone looking very glam and the part! We sat down to a lovely 3 course dinner with unlimited drink to the centre of the table – steady on! The awards began with the fantastic host Jimmy Carr. He presented the awards in an extremely comical way, which went down very well! The best bit was he didn’t take any of it seriously, taking the micky out of his co-hosts, nominees and even the winners! Amongst the humour, it was also great to see the categories and entries for each award. Moduelo were nominated for both the Product of the Year and the floorcovering categories with their new generation of Impress flooring. Unfortunately, they didn’t get an award but the images on the screen did it justice!
Everyone was in good spirits and there was a nice ambience to the event. As soon as the awards were over the party didn’t stop and the dance floor was jam packed with enthusiastic dancers.
It was a great way to start the festive period and we would like to thank Moduleo for a wonderful evening!
