Recently Johnson Tiles had a summer drinks party to celebrate the launch of their new ranges – Antique, Baker Street, Concept, Loft and Soho.
Some of our design team along with our marketing intern went along to be inspired and enjoy some networking time. Below are their thoughts on the evening!
Anaïs – marketing intern
As I am curious and interested in design, I decided to follow my colleagues to the Johnson Tiles Material Lab. I have already been to this kind of event previously and enjoyed it – meeting new people, discovering new collections, free food and of course free drink! How could I not enjoy it?
Upon arriving at the busy showroom, we had a look at their portfolio which is really interesting and then we ate the street food provided – pulled pork and beef burgers. Delicious!
Before working for Rethink Interiors, I didn’t imagine that this kind of event was common in the world of design. Thank you for including me in these unique experiences!
Ailsa – interior designer
It’s always a pleasure to be invited to Johnson Tiles showroom for a drink or two as the rep’s are always so friendly and welcoming upon arrival. It was my second time at the showroom yet it was the first time I’d seen it set up as the working Material Lab and I was really impressed by the variety of finishes and textiles to hand as well as Johnson Tiles products.
Johnson Tiles have really broken away from the typical tile showroom and instead created a stimulating, open and inviting space for designers to work in, meet clients or be inspired. By combining their new, unique and plain tile ranges alongside new materials (which you may not necessarily come across on your own accord) results in fresh distinctive mood boards and concepts, making everyone’s jobs a lot easier – happy days!
Kate – founder, managing director and interior designer!
Having used Johnson Tiles on many of our projects, it’s always good to find out about their new ranges, and see them in person. The Material Lab is a great place to catch up with our rep, Mark, and be inspired. The tasty food and drink is always a nice little bonus to the evening events too!
The new ranges we saw last week are a welcome addition to an already established portfolio – I particularly liked the Loft range and its accompanying distressed concept images.
It was a great evening, and we can’t wait to see what exciting ranges will be introduced next!
Thanks Johnson Tiles for an inspiring event!
